New oil cordovan is now up live! Apologies for the long delay on the update. I first saw these during my visit to Leder Ogawa and it’s been on my mind since. Simply put, these shells feels like a cross between Horween and Japanese shell cordovan.
Traditional Japanese shells are top aniline dyed and hard glazed resulting in a vibrant and lustrous finish. They are generally very firm and have a consistent finishing throughout. Oil cordovan are drum dyed with natural pigments and softly glazed. It is more supple, will bleed with hard use and has a more responsive patina compared to the glazed shells.
The oil cordovan will also be available as an option for full shell wallets 😉
I’ve also added a few more options of the traditional shells (orange, garnet and dark grey) along with some new porosus colours.
Some listings are still being updated for the new options but I’ll get them sorted by tomorrow.
