Porosus (Australian saltwater crocodile)
The king of crocs, these hides are raised in Australia and tanned overseas to be exported for fashion houses. There are two tanneries that are highly regarded for porosus; Heng Long and Gordon Choisy (HCP).
Niloticus (freshwater crocodile)
Niloticus hides tends to have larger and more rectangular scales in comparison to porosus. These hides are raised in either Asia or America and exported for tanning. The scales are difficult to differentiate with porosus on small goods but are noticeable in larger items.
