A technique inspired by Japanese craftsmanship. The Tsuchime finish is traditionally used by knife smiths and copper artisans in Japan. It is a highly involved process which requires repeated strikes of the material with a hammer.
Buttero is well known for its beautiful patina and deep rich colour. Each strap is hand finished and will result in unique variations of hammered patterns.
Tannery: Conceria Walpier (Italy).
Temper: Firm.
Surface: Hardy, hand hammered finish.
Tanning: Mixed vegetable tan.
Patina: Hammered patterns will accentuate as leather absorbs moisture and natural oils.
Other notes: Inspired by Tsuchime finish used by traditional knife smiths.
