Chevre (French goatskin)

Alran is arguably the best tannery when it comes to goat skin. Chevre has very high scratch resistance and can handle plenty of wear with very little or no changes to the surface. It has a soft temper, textured but smooth surface and comes in a wide range of vibrant colours.

Tannery: Alran S.A.S (France).
Temper: Soft.
Surface: Grained texture. Excellent scratch and water resistance.
Tanning: Veg tan with aniline finish.
Patina: Very resistant against wear, will patina to a darker colour with hard use.
Other notes: Famous for its bright and wide range of colour. Tough wearing leather that will remain relatively unchanged over time.

All of our products are hand made with traditional leather crafting techinques. They are cut, saddle stitched and burnished by hand. Our stock of leathers are sourced from the finest tanneries around the world. We use full grain leathers which shows its natural qualities and will have subtle differences between every hide. The combination of these processes results in a unique feeling between every product.
