Battriano (Italian cowhide)
Battriano is a unique veg tan leather from Badalassi Carlo. At a distance this leather can be mistaken as Pueblo however Battriano has a smooth and consistent surface unlike its suede like cousin. The marbled finish is due to traces of bloom (wax) on the surface.
Tannery: Badalassi Carlo (Italy).
Temper: Medium.
Surface: Smooth and consistent, has traces of bloom (wax).
Tanning: Vegetable tan.
Patina: Excellent. Bloom will fade over time.
Other notes: Very smooth and natural finish, the bloom does not cause a “stickiness” effect.
