Waxy (Italian cowhide)

A pull up leather from Badalassi Carlo with a distinct veining character that is accentuated with wear. It has a very soft hand and delicate to touch while still retaining a vintage appeal. Due to the tanning process, waxy is an oily leather that will absorb lots of wear and patina with use.

Tannery: Badalassi Carlo (Italy).
Temper: Medium.
Surface: Pull-up style with veining character, smooth and slightly waxy.
Tanning: Vegetable tan.
Patina:  Slow patina. Will develop sheen and tend to go slightly brighter when exposed to pressure. Colour will deepen over time.
Other notes: Full of character, will develop veins and bruising when bent.

All of our products are hand made with traditional leather crafting techinques. They are cut, saddle stitched and burnished by hand. Our stock of leathers are sourced from the finest tanneries around the world. We use full grain leathers which shows its natural qualities and will have subtle differences between every hide. The combination of these processes results in a unique feeling between every product.
